That matters most when you are relocating. Signing a lease from another state means committing to a home you have only seen in photos, and photos never quite show how the rooms connect. A gallery cannot tell you whether the dining area holds a desk and a table at the same time, or how much the vaulted ceiling changes the feel of the living room. Walking through it yourself answers both in about two minutes.

The one bedroom is set up with a queen bed and an upholstered headboard, a nightstand and lamp, and a six drawer dresser with a mirror above it. The living room has a sofa, an accent chair, a coffee table, and a stand for your television. A dining table with four chairs sits beside the kitchen. Living areas and bedrooms are carpeted, and the blinds are already hung on every window.
The layout is the part photos undersell. Ceilings over the living and dining space are vaulted rather than flat, which makes a one bedroom read much larger than its square footage suggests. Pendant lights hang over the breakfast bar and track lighting runs above the dining area. The kitchen has a stainless refrigerator, a double basin sink with a single lever sprayer, and enough counter along the bar to actually work from.
A stacked washer and dryer sits in a closet inside the apartment. No shared laundry room, no hunting for quarters on a Sunday night. Community amenities come with the lease as well, including the salt water pool with its sundeck, the fitness center, and the private cycling room with a Peloton bike. Run the numbers first, because the answer changes with how long you plan to stay.
A furnished one bedroom is $2,200.00 a month. The same one bedroom unfurnished starts between $1,161.00 and $1,300.00 depending on the plan, which puts the furnished premium at roughly $900.00 to $1,040.00. Furnished two bedrooms are $2,700.00 against an unfurnished start of $1,485.00, a difference of about $1,215.00.
Under a year, that premium usually pays for itself. Furnishing a one bedroom from scratch means a mattress, a couch, a table, and a truck to move all of it, plus the two days you spend loading and unloading. None of it holds much value when you sell it eight months later. Past a year or two the math flips and owning your own furniture starts to win.
